A transit visa is granted to any foreigner transiting through Burkina Faso
Its validity cannot exceed five (05) days
A traveler who is transiting through Burkina Faso can apply for a transit visa in case of :
- L’immobilisation du moyen de transport par suite d’avarie ou de panne
- L’attente d’une correspondance
- Tout autre cas de force majeure laissé à l’appréciation de l’autorité.
THE APPLICANT FOR A TRANSIT VISA MUST PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS
A valid passport
An (01) application form, provided by the competent administration, duly completed, dated and signed
Two (02) recent identity photos in color on a white background format 3.5 x 4.5 cm
Proof of the reason for staying in Burkina Faso
A medical examination certificate attesting that the applicant is not suffering from a contagious disease
A health insurance certificate covering the period of stay
Stamp duty payment receipt
